We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining equipment and produce high-quality components. Duties
Operate machining equipment including milling machines, lathes, and other hand tools to produce precise components.
Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing.
Utilise tooling and hand tools to produce and complete parts as needed.
Apply basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations during machining processes.
Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations.
Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and perform routine maintenance to optimise performance.
Qualifications
Proven experience in machining, with knowledge of milling, turning, and assembly processes.
Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tooling, power tools, and hand tools usage.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a sub-contract manufacturing environment.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or machining are preferred but not essential. This role provides an engaging environment for those passionate about precision engineering and manufacturing excellence.
