Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced General Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential repairs and maintenance to our 500 properties and scheme offices and assist with void and estate management services as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out repairs and maintenance to tenanted, empty properties and HCHA offices as directed. Assist the Property Services and Asset Management team in the provision of information on service installations to new and existing tenants. Assist in the provision of estate management services including cleaning, clearance of rubbish and furnishings, decoration of internal and external areas, and weekly compliance testing. Assist the Property Services and Asset Management team with pre and post inspections and monitoring of contractor performance.

Requirements:

Minimum of two years' experience in a repairs and maintenance environment. A minimum NVQ L2 or equivalent in any trade will be beneficial. Previous experience working within social housing or similar environment will be beneficial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others. Full UK driving license. Own van and tools desirable but not essential.
