Equans is looking for a General Maintenance Operative to join our team in Kingston upon Thames on a

Permanent basis. This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary,

What will you deliver?

Deliver a wide range of planned & reactive maintenance works at the Kingston student living sites (Seething Wells, Kingston Hill) Provide initial response to all Reactive Maintenance requests during normal working hours and Out of Hours as part of the On-call Out of Hours Rota Quarterly shower head & hose cleaning in accordance with L8 requirements (full training will be provided) Continuous monitoring and maintenance of mechanical systems, fittings and plantrooms Weekly fire alarm testing on the student accommodation Bi-annual Fire Door inspections (full training will be provided), ensuring necessary adjustments are completed / faults & damage recorded accurately Undertake regular visual inspections of building fabric, furniture, fixtures & fittings Effect repairs to building fabric, furniture, fixtures & fittings where noted / when reported Undertake minor decorating works when needed Undertake quarterly RCD Function tests

Who are we looking for?

Demonstrable experience in a similar role essential Suitable trade discipline qualification (NVQ level 2 or equivalent) desirable but not essential Working knowledge of ACOP L8 desirable Ability to prioritise & work effectively under pressure Full UK driving licence
