Gambado Chelsea is one of London's largest and most established soft play centres, proudly serving families for over 20 years. We specialise in providing safe, clean and fun play experiences for children aged 1-11, with birthday parties forming a significant part of our business offering.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the complete operational management of our busy Chelsea venue during a maternity cover period. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven leader to take charge of all aspects of venue operations while maintaining our high standards of safety, cleanliness and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Overall venue management:
Complete operational responsibility for day-to-day running of the centre
Health & Safety:
Ensure full legal compliance and maintain our industry-leading safety standards
Cleanliness standards:
Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue
Team leadership:
Manage and motivate a team of 40 staff members, ensuring they remain friendly and engaged
Customer service:
Act as the face of the venue, delivering outstanding customer experiences
Financial management:
Oversee budgets, monitor performance and control costs
Stock management:
Maintain optimal stock levels across all areas
Marketing liaison:
Work directly with our marketing department to drive business growth
Event coordination:
Oversee our busy birthday party programme and special events
Compliance:
Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and maintained
Essential Requirements
3+ years
General Manager experience in soft play, leisure or similar customer-facing environment
Proven track record of managing large teams (30+ staff)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
