Position: General Manager

Location: Perry Barr, Birmingham B44 8AA

Job Type: Permanent, Full time

Working days: 5 days over 7 (including weekends)

Salary - Guaranteed OTE 70-120k per annum (includes basic salary + bonus + guaranteed commission)

NCF Living is one of the fastest growing furniture companies in the UK, looking for a General Manager for our Flagship store in Perry Barr Birmingham. The store is currently going through a full renovation and will be ready for a relaunch in August 2025.

Once ready this will be one of the biggest and most inspirational furniture stores in the UK with a retail space of more than 77k sq ft.

As a General Manager, you will drive the sales team through effective leadership, to grow turnover, support with people management/recruitment and achieve company targets.

Your role/responsibilities will include:

Demonstrating commitment to the company by supporting the store team with leading, inspiring and motivating leadership and developing them to achieve personal and team sales targets.

Striving to meet set KPIs to develop your personal performance and maintaining high store standards, ensuring NCF customers are provided with a positive, engaging shopping experience and a first-class customer experience by building rapport with them.

You will be directly responsible for overseeing the effective day to day management of the store, including staff/rota planning, staff appraisals and general performance reviews.

Requirements:

Store management experience of 2+ years is a must Experience of working within sales and retail/FMCG Experience of managing a sales team Ability to manage people and have a clear dichotomy between yourself and subordinates Effective communicator at all levels Awareness of KPIs, expectations and deadlines Strong admin and analytical skills
