Guildford Rugby Football Club is a large Community Amateur Sports Club with over 1,000 Social and Playing members. The site is leveraged for multiple other sports and has recently received planning permission for Padel Tennis courts.
The Club's commercial arm, Broadwater Pavilion (BPL), operates over 100 private hire events each year, including corporate and government meetings, wakes, weddings, parties, charity dinners, film location services and more.
The Club is recruiting for a General Manger to be accountable for ensuring the smooth operation of the Pavilion and the Club grounds, whilst also continuing to develop the activities of the Club and its Community mission. It is envisaged that you will be supported by volunteer resource(s).
We're looking for an organised, practical, and proactive leader to oversee all aspects of this. You'll manage the facilities and all security & safety processes, support events and catering operations, coordinate ground usage with our sports and events teams, and oversee the Club Shop and its volunteers.
You will need to be highly organised, practical, responsive, solution orientated and able to handle a wide range of requests diplomatically, swiftly and cost effectively, while dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
Previous hospitality, grounds or operational experience would be a bonus. Hours and remuneration can be negotiated.
