We work closely with our sister site, The West Park Hotel, located next door. Together, our teams collaborate to ensure both businesses thrive, creating a seamless guest experience across both venues.

The Role

We're seeking a commercially minded, charismatic General Manager to lead our team and elevate The Coach and Horses as the destination for a proper pub experience in Harrogate. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, strategic growth, and creating compelling reasons to visit, every day of the week.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire a passionate team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Drive commercial performance through innovative sales strategies and local marketing. Curate and execute a

7-day entertainment programme

that brings energy and community to the venue. Oversee a

premium food and beverage offer

, with a focus on gastro-style dishes and seasonal menus. Manage budgets, stock, and supplier relationships to ensure profitability and quality. Be the face of the business--engaging with guests, building loyalty, and fostering a welcoming environment. Collaborate with the West Park Hotel team to maximise opportunities and guest satisfaction across both sites. Work closely with Provenance Collection leadership to align with brand standards while injecting local flair.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a General Manager in a premium pub or hospitality setting. Strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving revenue and footfall. Passion for food, drink, and creating memorable guest experiences. Creative thinker with a flair for events, entertainment, and community engagement. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
