Job Description

To operate and drive Paradise Palms venue and support the owners and operations manager in all aspects of running the business. Focusing on all angles of a traditional general manager role with specific importance given to product quality, staff training, marketing, events, turnover and community, whilst ensuring the business sustains a competitive edge and exceeds customer expectations. The approach should be one of inspiring leadership and passion for our drinks offering, customer service, the local creative community, events and our award winning veg/vegan menu. We also aim to deliver excellence through positive people management, which we believe, ultimately delivers a great guest experience.

Paradise Bars also operate West Port Oracle and we strive to provide quality food and drinks alongside a creative and contemporary program of entertainment and innovative events delivered by a team that love what they do and thrive on being part of the broader community.

We're serious about creating great food, quality mixed drinks, delivering service that beats expectations, showcasing innovative music & performing arts and curating an experience guests will remember and return for.

We also operate external event bars at private events such as gallery openings and large-scale public festivals and events. We also run a small record independent record label showcasing local and international electronic and indie artists and a cocktail bar called Paradise Lost in Spain. We're always looking for new ideas, new people to work alongside, enjoy a challenge and stive to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in.

GM Roles & Responsibilities



Develop and share your knowledge of cocktails/beers/wines/good spirits and our veg/vegan menu. We want all of our team to be experts on this Achieve sales targets, profit margins and manage costs within set budgets Communicate financial performance with management team and to owners as required Ensure communication to wider team on KPIs and sales Compliance on all licensing laws, health and safety and all other legislative requirements Achieve environmental sustainability goals and set annual targets for this Ensure high standards of product delivery at all times Drive product quality improvement - through regular training / sampling/ people management Put forward costed ideas for promotional activity to increase trade Analyse sales mix and sales reports to incentivise areas for growth Accurate reporting of payroll information including absence Maintain employee turnover and retention at acceptable level Continuously source and recruit high calibre team members & ensure they complete company induction Ensure all staff receive a Probationary Review within allocated timeframe and any action plans implemented Continuously train, coach and mentor team and carry out regular reviews addressing any performance issues, doing so in a timely manner Responsible for ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to Support owners, staff and partners in the business grow and develop

Skills & Experience



Experience as a GM role within a busy and demanding venue The ability to lead and motivate your team members Experience of driving sales and developing the business Highly organized and self-motivated individual Proven first class customer service and communication skills Decent moral compass and interest in the community
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
