Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Food Hall Deli Counter Manager

to lead the daily operations of our busy counter within a world-famous London Food Hall.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality or culinary management - specifically in a food hall, deli, or premium retail environment. You should demonstrate excellent team leadership, stock control, and P&L management skills, as well as a keen eye for display presentation and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

This role suits someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure, with the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily counter operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional guest experiences. Lead, train, and motivate staff, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture. Manage food preparation, production, and presentation to maintain premium quality and compliance with health and safety standards. Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness at all times. Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to maintain attractive, well-stocked displays and ensure timely service during busy periods. Handle guest and landlord queries or complaints professionally, turning challenges into opportunities to exceed expectations. Monitor inventory, control wastage, and manage supplier orders to maintain cost efficiency and consistent availability. Contribute to product range reviews, suggesting improvements to keep the offer fresh, seasonal, and appealing. Support senior management with operational insights and assist in delivering financial targets through effective P&L management.
Experience & Skills

Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a food hall, deli, or high-end retail environment (essential). Strong culinary background with sound knowledge of food preparation, display standards, and compliance requirements. Proven ability to manage and inspire a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Demonstrated understanding of P&L performance and the ability to influence positive financial outcomes. Experience with Indian, Thai, or Sushi cuisine is highly advantageous. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and professional approach.

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
