We are looking for a General Manager who can take on the challenge of opening our brand-new site. Situated in Halifax, near the vue cinema the 250-cover restaurant/bar is set to open in November, we are beginning to recruitment the core management team to help us with the process of getting the restaurant ready to open.

Roles of a General Manager:
Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, and Health & Safety legislation guidelines.
Managing ResDiary, ensure the flow of customers into the business allows all departments to perform at the required standards.
Direct and coordinate activities of all business departments.
Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
Monitor and manage staff hours daily within S4 Labour, ensure all hours are accurate every day.
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with company directors, organisation officials, and staff members as necessary.
Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes
Monitor businesses and agencies to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide necessary services while staying within budgetary limits.
Oversee all activities related to the running of the site.
Manage all aspects of stock control and consumables for the site.
Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, representing management in purchase negotiations.
Perform sales floor work such as greeting and assisting customers, taking orders, running food/drinks, and taking inventory.
Develop and implement marketing strategies, including all social media channels and sales promotions.
Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, coordinating with all department heads as required.
Direct non-merchandising departments of businesses, such as advertising and purchasing.
Dealing with any customer complaints in a professional manner.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role.
Experience in planning and budgeting.
Excellent communication skills.
Outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
Experience making and serving cocktails.
Problem-solving aptitude.
A full UK Driving Licence.
