We are currently recruiting for a Manager to lead the team at our boutique hostel, The Baxter as our hard working GM Declan goes off on his travels this December.

It started like a fairytale. Once upon a time, two Scottish brothers decided to build a magical hostel. Together, they imagined a place where travellers would find a home away from home and make new friends when they were only expecting a place to crash. They tailored spaces where everyone could laugh loudly, sleep deeply and slowly fall in love with Edinburgh. They called this place, The Baxter.

Located just off of Princes street, The Baxter is a 46 bed hostel with six dormitorys. Of the dormitorys two are female only and one is a private 4 bedroom room with ensuite.

The Baxter also has at the heart of it a living area complete with kitchen, sofas to lounge on, fridge space, wifi and work spaces.

As Hostel Manager we are looking for someone to:

Lead the Hostel team ensuring checkin, checkout, morning, afternoon and evening shifts run smoothly. Write Rotas and manage holidays Encourage, train and retain the team. Recruiting where appropriate. Be fun, outgoing and positive to create an amazing hostel environment Be mature and responsible in their duties always working within the interests of the Hostel, our customers and the team
As Hostel Manager you will ideally:

Have previous experience running accomodation (hostels, hotels, serviced apartments) Have previous experience using Electronic Till or Reservations systems Have a fun and enthusiastic nature Be a real people person have experience running a small team

Pay: 33,000.00 per year
