GENERAL MANAGER




We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced General Manager to lead one of our catering contracts at the iconic

Sea Containers

building in Southbank. This role is in partnership with WPP, one of the world's leading creative transformation companies.


This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile, multi-outlet contract. You'll lead a talented on-site team and oversee a diverse food and hospitality offering, including staff dining, hospitality, and events.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:




Oversee the daily operations of all business outlets, including:


G&F Cafe & TCP Services

- A grab-and-go coffee shop by day, transforming into a campus bar in the evening

Staff Dining Restaurant

- Serving hot and cold meals for breakfast and lunch

Cucumber Restaurant and Bar



Commercial Events and Hospitality

- Including executive lounges, meeting rooms, and event spaces

Ensure consistent standards and high-quality service across all outlets Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and stakeholders Develop and implement revenue growth strategies for both retail and hospitality Oversee rota management, labour planning, recruitment, and payroll submission Lead on recruitment, staff training, and general HR responsibilities Develop and mentor the management team to meet company standards and client expectations Provide hands-on leadership, especially during peak business hours Manage daily operations and coordinate meetings and events Collaborate with the sales team to create revenue and upselling opportunities Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and food safety regulations Lead and monitor post-event briefings, clean-up procedures, and equipment management

QUALIFICATIONS:




Proven experience in a senior operations role within the catering or hospitality industry Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in event planning and execution Proactive and hands-on approach with a passion for delivering excellence Adaptability to dynamic environments and ability to wear multiple hats as needed
