General Manager - Food Ingredients Producer

Location: Mosshill Ayr

Salary: 15 per hour + Profit Share

32 Hours per week | Weekdays Only | Excellent Work-Life Balance

We are a small, family-run food ingredients producer supplying natural flavourings into the food & drinks sector, seeking a

General Manager

to oversee day-to-day operations as part of our long-term succession planning. This is a hands-on leadership role offering genuine responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to play a key part in the ongoing success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage daily operations across the business which includes production, customer service and systems Maintain food safety and quality systems (HACCP essential; BRC or SALSA knowledge a plus) Monitor and improve production processes and efficiency Lead and support a small team, promoting a positive and productive working environment Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food industry regulations Work closely with the business owners on strategic planning and growth initiatives

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of HACCP and general food safety standards (BRC or SALSA experience desirable) Good computer literacy - confident with web based processes. (Training given) Excellent communication and organisational skills A hands-on, practical approach and a desire to contribute meaningfully to a growing business
