Now, we're looking for a

General Manager

who can take the reins and lead day-to-day operations across our physical and digital business, helping turn our bold vision into a grounded, profitable reality.

The Role



As General Manager, you will oversee the entire Peoples Coffee operation -- from cafe and roastery management, to team leadership, logistics, sales performance, and customer experience.

You'll act as the operational heartbeat of the business: making sure our spaces run smoothly, our people are supported, our customers are delighted, and our systems can scale. You'll work directly with the founders to shape the future of the brand, and lead the execution that makes it all happen.

Key Responsibilities



Operational Leadership



Manage day-to-day operations across cafe, roastery, and online channels Set and enforce high standards in service, quality, cleanliness, and safety Lead hiring, scheduling, training, and development of front- and back-of-house teams Maintain supplier relationships and ensure stock and equipment are managed efficiently

Team & Culture



Build a positive, motivated, and purpose-aligned team culture Act as a bridge between founders, roastery staff, and cafe team Run weekly team check-ins, performance reviews, and development conversations Champion the Peoples Coffee values across every touchpoint

Sales & Growth



Own revenue and margin targets across retail, wholesale, and online Monitor daily sales reports and identify growth and efficiency opportunities Implement new systems to support scaling (POS, inventory, payroll, CRM, etc.) Support customer acquisition, retention, and experience across all channels

Strategy & Vision



Help shape short- and long-term business plans in partnership with the founders Provide insight into what's working and what's not -- with data and ideas to back it Lead rollouts of new spaces, products, and customer initiatives Ensure the business is grounded in financial health, operational excellence, and people-first principles

What We're Looking For



Proven experience as a General Manager or Operations Lead in hospitality, retail, or F&B Natural team leader who can manage with empathy, clarity, and accountability Operationally excellent: process-driven, commercially aware, and cool under pressure Passionate about great coffee and great service (experience in coffee is a big plus) Able to get stuck in -- no task too small, no challenge too big Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to wear multiple hats Strong communication and organisational skills Tech-savvy and comfortable with systems (POS, staff scheduling, spreadsheets, etc.)
