We're looking for an experienced and ambitious

General Manager

to take the lead at a

high-performing country pub with rooms

located just outside Ashford, Kent.

. The new General Manager will inherit a well-structured operation but have full autonomy to shape its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of the operation - bar, restaurant, rooms, and events. Motivate and develop a team of around 25 staff, ensuring high service standards. Drive sales growth through exceptional guest experiences and local engagement. Take ownership of P&L, labour control, and stock management. Maintain consistent quality across food, drink, and accommodation. Build community links and manage the venue's reputation both locally and online.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident and commercially minded hospitality leader who thrives in a busy, hands-on environment. You'll be:

Experienced in

premium pub, restaurant, or hotel management

, ideally 20k+ weekly turnover. A natural people leader with a calm, motivational approach. Financially astute, with a strong grasp of margins, rotas, and costs. Passionate about food, drink, and genuine hospitality. Adaptable - equally comfortable hosting guests, managing events, or planning strategy.
