We're seeking a
General Manager
to take the reins of our
boutique hotel and pub in the heart of Salisbury,
a historic venue with a loyal local following, a steady stream of walkers, and visitors from across the world.

About the Role
As General Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the daily operations of both the hotel and pub ; ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving commercial success. You'll have the autonomy to make real impact, supported by a strong operational structure and clear KPIs.
Your leadership will be hands-on, visible, and inspiring, equally at home behind the scenes managing costs and compliance as you are front of house engaging with guests and the team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and motivate your team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Oversee day-to-day hotel and pub operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Monitor KPIs across sales, labour, and GP, ensuring business targets are met.
Drive local marketing and social media initiatives to grow awareness and bookings.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance.
Conduct regular team training and performance reviews.
Participate in weekly and monthly management meetings, contributing ideas and insights.
Build relationships with local suppliers, community groups, and tourism partners.
About You
Proven experience in a management role within hospitality (hotel, restaurant, or pub).
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A hands-on manager who leads by example and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Commercially minded with confidence in reading reports and managing budgets.
Creative with marketing and social media; able to bring the venue's story to life.
Passionate about people, hospitality, and delivering excellence every day.
