We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach in managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, fostering a positive work environment for all staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety regulations.
Lead and manage a diverse team, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and teamwork.
Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring high-quality culinary standards are met.
Implement training programmes for staff on hospitality best practices, food safety, and customer service.
Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients are sourced effectively.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for complete guest satisfaction.
Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards.
Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategies for improving overall restaurant performance.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Previous experience in kitchen management or barista roles is advantageous.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
