We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to a variety of building projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction tasks, from initial groundwork to finishing touches, in a dynamic environment. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in multiple trades and be committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship. You will work alongside our small team and regular subcontractors. Work mainly in and around Bradford, with occasional jobs further afield. You can work on an employed or self employed basis, whichever suits you best.
Responsibilities
Assist in the construction, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and structures according to project specifications.
Operate a range of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Perform carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing.
Carry out roofing work, including installation, repairs, and maintenance.
Apply construction painting techniques to prepare surfaces and achieve desired finishes.
Install and repair plumbing systems as required for various projects.
Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring.
Conduct welding tasks to join metal components securely.
Handle electrical installations or repairs with adherence to safety standards (where qualified).
Fabricate components on-site as needed for specific projects.
Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work is highly desirable.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Minimum 5 years experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 16.00-21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
