Role Description

As a General Operative & Assembly Fitter at Steel Frog Ltd, you will be responsible for various tasks involving prefabrication tasks, assembly, and fitting, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards in safety and quality.

About the Role:

Role: General Operative/ Assembly Fitter Location: Langford, Bristol UK Job Type: Full-time, Permanent/ On-Site Position Salary: 12 - 14 per hour (Experience-based)

Experience and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in metalwork or related field preferred. Proven experience in a similar role of assembly using hand tools. Ability to read drawings and follow instructions. Excellent manual dexterity and ability to use various hand and power tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and move materials and work in various postures. Good parts organizational skills. Excellent record-keeping skills with keen attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to adapt to new technologies and learn new skills as needed.

Desirable Skills:

Forklift licence Clean full driving licence Basic IT skills, booking in materials on system Strong organisational skills Ambition to develop role set out best practice and become team leader.

Responsibilities:

Read drawings follow written instructions. Assemble various metal components painted and unpainted and structures using hand tools & machines. Ensure all components fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. Perform routine maintenance on assembly tools and equipment. Monitor the assembly line and remove faulty components when necessary. Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on the shop floor. Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve production processes. Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Schedule: Mon to Thu: 7:30am to 4:00pm/ Fri: 7:30am to 1:30pm (mandatory) Overtime when available
