Job Summary

Muir Timber Systems Ltd are a market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of Timber Frame, Joists & Floor Cassettes, Roof Trusses, Door Sets and Internal Finishings. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Operative to join our team. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced factory environment while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Work within a busy factory environment producing timber frame products for houses, including production line support and material handling. Ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to meet production targets. Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and safe practice when working with equipment. Report any issues or discrepancies to management promptly. Demostrate pride in your work and to the highest standards. Good team player who reliably attends work.

Skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills, for effective teamwork. Basic problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges as they arise. Physical stamina and capability to lift heavy items as required by the role. Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
