Job Title: General Operative (security & cleaning duties)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Operative role in our busy shopping centre with a focus on a variety of cleaning tasks. As a General Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting various operational tasks within the Centre. Key Responsibilities:

To represent the Kingsway Shopping Centre, providing first-class customer service.

Site Security:

Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring premises are secure during non-operational hours. Mall Patrol: Deter anti-social behaviour, theft, and vandalism during trading hours. Safeguard owners' property and assist in emergency evacuations. Tenant Support: Advise tenants on security issues such as theft prevention. First Aid Response: Attend first aid incidents as the centre's appointed representative. Report H&S issues and ensure areas remain safe until resolved. Document accidents and incidents with detailed reports and statements.
Cleaning and Maintenance:

Perform cleaning tasks in public and staff areas, including public restrooms and waste management. Deep cleaning tasks, including equipment and some unit deep cleaning Equipment Maintenance: Keep equipment in good repair and report faults.
General Duties:

Adhere to Kingsway Centre Services Ltd company policies and procedures. Participate in necessary training courses to enhance job performance. Assist Centre Management with additional tasks as needed.
This role reports to the Facilities & Operations Manager.

An immediate start is available.

Qualifications:

A valid SIA licence (preferable). Cleaning experience (essential). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities. Experience of general maintenance/handyman skills would be beneficial.
