Job Description

Monton Medical Centre is looking to recruit an enthusiastic practice nurse to join our clinical team. We are a warm and friendly, forward-thinking practice committed to empowering and supporting our patients to lead better and healthier lives.

The Role - Flexible



The postholder will be involved in (training and support can be provided for development areas):

Assisting the multidisciplinary team to secure and maintain high standards of care, health promotion and a good CQC rating

Chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)

Childhood and adult immunisations

Cervical cytology

Treatment room duties (ECGs, ear care, health checks, BP monitoring, etc.)

Maintaining accurate clinical records using EMIS

Contributing to quality improvement and population health initiatives

To assist with and undertake audits

Ordering of consumables

Request pathology services when necessary and process results in a timely and appropriate manner.

Support the practice in meeting QOF, and locally commissioned key performance indicators

Demonstrate an understanding of evidence-based practice and escalate any clinical concerns to a GP when required.

A strong understanding of infection prevention and control procedures.

Participate in practice and nurse meetings

About Us



The role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse who wants to develop their skills in a supportive environment. You will work alongside our experienced GPs, ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, care coordinators and management team to deliver proactive, evidence-based care.

We have 4 partners, one none- clinical with a focus on finance and governance, 2 salaried, 1 ANP, 3 nurses, 1 HCA and 3 Care Coordinators. We have a list size circa 9500 patients and a mixed demographic.

Person specification

:

A registered nurse with current NMC registration

Experienced in general practice / primary care (or keen to learn)

Commitment to ongoing professional development on Clinical Excellence

Compassionate, organised and able to work independently

Confident using IT systems (EMIS experience is beneficial but not essential)

Car owner and driver's license

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 19.50-26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 - 37 per week
