Are you a skilled and compassionate General Practitioner seeking a unique opportunity in a mixed and urban rural area close to the captivating Lake District National Park and Solway coast?Wigton Group Medical Practice, is looking for enthusiastic GPs, salaried or with a view to partnership, to provide exceptional healthcare services to our vibrant and growing community.Join our practice and enjoy the tranquillity of rural living, while being in close proximity to the stunning Solway Coast and benefitting from excellent transport links. We have a diverse population and care for around 9,100 patients. We have a modern spacious building with a variety of services that run from within it, including hospital Dental, Podiatry and Women's health services.Our Practice

• A supportive team who are committed to high quality patient-centred care whilst recognising the need for a healthy work / life balance.
• The Team includes two GP Partners, four salaried GPs, three advanced clinical Practitioners, clinical pharmacist, mental health practitioner, first contact physiotherapist, healthy living link worker and a highly performing practice nursing team and highly effective non-clinical team.

Our Service

• Operating under the 'Modern General Practice' ethos, effective blend of online consults, face to face and telephone consultations.
• Fairly shared non-clinical admin and duty sessions
• Prescribing support team
• Fully integrated electronic communication including Emis Web, ICE lab system, GP2GP and electronic document workflow/registrations.

Opportunities and ethos

• An attractive remuneration package, xc2xa311k - xc2xa311.5k per session (depending on experience) including six weeks annual leave and one week Study Leave (pro-rata).
• We encourage continuous improvement and are constantly looking to improve what we do. We support continued professional development and opportunities to further develop skills and specialist areas of interest.
• Daily huddle and weekly clinical review discussions with other GPs and Nurse Practitioners for problem cases and referrals.
• Training practice
• Working in partnership with Newcastle Medical School and The Pears Cumbria School of Medicine training medical students (undergraduate and postgraduate).
