to join our supportive and progressive primary care team. The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-focused medical services to our diverse practice population.
Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, you will provide both urgent and routine care, manage long-term conditions, and contribute to the ongoing development of our practice. We are looking for a GP who is passionate about continuity of care, innovation, and collaborative working.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, including face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations.
Undertake the full range of GP duties, including acute care, chronic disease management, and health promotion.
Conduct home visits when clinically required.
Prescribe medicines safely and appropriately in line with current guidelines.
Request, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests and investigations.
Refer patients to secondary care and community services when appropriate.
Participate in the management of long-term conditions (e.g. diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension).
Provide support for safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
Maintain accurate, legible, and timely clinical records using practice systems.
Engage in audit, quality improvement, and clinical governance activities.
Contribute to QOF and enhanced service delivery.
Participate in practice meetings and work collaboratively with the wider clinical team.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the performers list.
MRCGP (or equivalent).
Evidence of ongoing professional development and appraisal.
Excellent clinical and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Skills & Knowledge
Special interest or additional clinical expertise (e.g. dermatology, minor surgery, women's health, palliative care).
Experience in teaching or mentoring medical students, GP registrars, or other healthcare staff.
Familiarity with EMIS or similar clinical IT systems.
Experience in QOF achievement and delivering enhanced services.
