Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service to ensure the success of our establishment.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including events, sales and serving processes
Supervise and manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to optimise profitability
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency
Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality experiences to guests
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and quality standards are met
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction
Monitor sales performance and develop strategies for growth
Work on buidling relationships with local residents, creating a community feel and reaching out to local businesses.
Experience
3 years + management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive restaurant experience with a strong understanding of food safety and food production processes
Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience is highly desirable
Experience in team management, leadership roles, and staff development
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and hospitality standards
Previous hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
