We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to work along side the owners, lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring that our restaurant runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, customer service, and financial performance.
Supervise and train restaurant staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development.
Manage kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation meets quality standards and adheres to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with culinary staff to develop innovative menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Maintain inventory levels and manage supplier relationships for kitchen supplies and beverages.
Implement marketing strategies to increase restaurant visibility and attract new customers.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures to maximise profitability.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a managerial role within the restaurant industry, with a strong understanding of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management practices.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and staff alike.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent organisational skills.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
Experience of marketing your business through social media platforms to interact with our guests and attract new customers.
