We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our shop runs smoothly and efficiently. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining the shop's appearance, and assisting with various tasks to support daily operations.

Responsibilities

Ability to work machinery and handle sharp utensils. Handling cash and card transactions. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and purchases. Work in a clean and tidy manner, maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, ensuring products are well-displayed. Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves. Utilize strong communication skills to effectively convey product information and recommendations. Organize and maintain shop displays to ensure a welcoming environment. Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and tracking product availability.

Desirable Experience & Skills

Experience working within the food industry. HACCP aware. Driving license. Butchery experience. Relevant health & hygiene qualification would be beneficial. Health & Safety and/or Hygiene certification. Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
