General Site Labourer required to join our growing team.

Copeland & Craddock have recently been acquired by Langley Alloys, a highly successful metals distribution business located in Stoke. Following the completion of the acquisition and major investment in the site facilities we are looking to add a General Site Labourer to the business to support continued growth.

Immediate Start Available

Willing to work morning and noon shifts.

Overtime available on Saturdays, subject to orderbook.

33 Holiday days

(25 free choice plus 8 bank holidays).

The successful candidate will have:

- A willingness to learn and operate engineering machinery when competently trained.

- A willingness to work shifts within the correct notice period as and when required.

- A willingness to take appropriate courses to operate front and side loaders and scissor lift access machinery.

- And be required to undertake any tasks required by management which fall within the experience and capabilities shown in the skills matrix.

The role:

Planned preventative maintenance actions including, but not limited to, filter changing, coolant level checks, roof gutter cleaning , bar oiling and bundling.

Machine cleaning and coolant replacement.

Painting and decorating as required.

Emptying general waste bins

Assisting the maintenance engineer with large heavy tasks using the correct lifting equipment.

General yard activities to include loading skips, operating mechanical yard sweepers.

Managing swarf segregation and bagging with the ability to correctly label and store bags by customer.

Racking maintenance to include cleaning, painting and floor bolting.

Key skills preferred for the role:

2 years warehousing / production / engineering experience Competent fork truck driver Team player

What's on offer?

Starting salary of 12.21/hr Fixed shift patterns so you always know when you'll be working - alternating shifts 6am-2.30pm or 7.30am to 4pm Overtime opportunities dependent upon level of business activity.

Expected hours: 39 per week
