1:1 SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT

Fixed term post full time from Monday 23rd February 2026 initially until 31 July 2026 BUT highly likely to be extended. The post advertised is to support a specific pupil during their time at our school, if the child leaves our school the post will be terminated.



Hours per week- 8.45am to 3.20 pm x 5 days per week which includes 30 mins daily 1:1 supervision at lunchtime.



The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and well-motivated General Teaching Assistant to join our thriving, popular school. The postholder will work each day 8.45am to 3.20pm supporting a child with SEND in the Early Years class. This will include supporting the child for 30 minutes outdoors at lunchtime.

We require someone who has:

Strong academic ability in maths and literacy High levels of resilience The ability to foster positive relationships with pupils and staff Excellent organisational skills The ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences. The ability to use your own initiative Experience of engaging SEND children in learning Experience of supporting children with limited verbal communication Experience of supporting children with ASD traits
