We are seeking a reliable and proactive General Operative to join our clients warehouse team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting daily operations, ensuring the smooth handling of materials, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Duties

Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts Operating warehouse management systems to track stock movements and update records accurately Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods Picking and packing orders with attention to detail to meet customer specifications Stocking shelves and organising inventory in accordance with company procedures Conducting quality control checks to maintain product standards Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Ensuring the workspace is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations Supporting other team members in various operational tasks as required

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safe lifting practices Experience operating forklifts is desirable but not mandatory; certification is an advantage Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is beneficial Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment maintenance is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail in stock management and quality control tasks
Working hours Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7am and 3pm.
