The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join Holcim UK as the Geocycle Operations Manager at our Cauldon Cement Plant in Staffordshire.

This role places you at the forefront of Holcim's decarbonisation strategy, overseeing the performance and delivery of alternative fuels and raw materials that support the shift toward low-carbon cement production.

You'll be a key driver of circularity, turning waste into opportunity and delivering real impact in a complex, industrial setting.

This role requires someone with resilience, excellent stakeholder management, and the confidence to manage upwards while working across internal plant leadership and the global Geocycle Group.

As a senior member of the plant's leadership team, you will oversee a 7-day operation that supports both commercial and production demands. You'll play a key role in driving circularity and unlocking value from waste, contributing to meaningful sustainability outcomes in a complex industrial environment. Your focus will be on shaping the team, influencing cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in operational performance. From scheduling and production reviews to confirming waste deliveries and identifying new ways to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability, your input will be instrumental. You will be part of the global Holcim Geocycle network, working closely with both internal plant leadership and international stakeholders.

Who you are

You're an experienced operations professional with a deep understanding of logistics, supply chain, and environmental compliance within the waste sector. You have a collaborative, proactive approach and thrive in roles that require both strategic thinking and hands-on problem-solving. With strong communication skills, you're confident managing cross-functional teams and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You're someone who values teamwork, continuous improvement, and working in an environment where health, safety, and sustainability are at the core of everything you do. You're someone who leads with integrity and takes pride in delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient operations. You'll need to be a change ambassador, comfortable challenging the status quo, and passionate about leading with purpose to help build a greener, more circular future for the construction industry.

We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
