Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Pro Rata Range: 18,000 - 22,000 (Full-Time Equivalent)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Geography Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Geography, delivering engaging lessons that help students develop a strong understanding of the physical and human world, global issues, and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that meet the needs of all learners Teach across KS3 and KS4, including preparation for GCSE Geography Encourage critical thinking, map skills, and a deep appreciation for global diversity and sustainability Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and schemes of work Maintain current knowledge of the national curriculum and exam specifications Set high expectations for student behaviour and academic achievement Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture Support or lead extracurricular activities such as field trips or geography clubs (optional) Participate in relevant CPD and school training sessions
Person Specification

Essential:

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) A degree in Geography or a closely related subject Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 level Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to inspiring young minds Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills High expectations for student progress and behaviour A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices A willingness to support the school's ethos and Islamic values
Desirable:

Experience in a faith-based or independent school setting Familiarity with Islamic values and the school's ethos A proven track record of raising attainment in Geography, especially at GCSE
