The Opportunity
A high-performing secondary academy in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join its successful Humanities faculty from January 2026.   • Holds QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Works collaboratively as part of a team and contributes to wider school life
Experience leading fieldwork, enrichment projects, or geography-related clubs would be advantageous.

The Role in More Detail
You will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 to 5, designing lessons that engage students through discussion, data interpretation, mapping, and fieldwork. You will help develop schemes of work, prepare students for public examinations, and contribute to curriculum refinement and departmental planning.
In addition, you will be encouraged to take part in co-curricular activities such as geography clubs, trips, or cross-curricular projects, helping to deepen students' understanding of their world and the importance of sustainability and global awareness.
