The Opportunity
A successful and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a well-established, supportive department that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness.

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has strong subject knowledge in both physical and human geography

  • Uses assessment and feedback effectively to drive student progress
  • Works collaboratively and contributes to the wider life of the school
Experience in leading fieldwork, developing resources, or running enrichment projects such as eco initiatives or geography clubs would be an advantage.

The Role in More Detail
You will plan, teach and assess Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, guiding students through topics such as ecosystems, urbanisation, climate change and global development. You will inspire students to think critically about the planet and the role they play in it, using engaging case studies and fieldwork to bring the subject to life.
You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum, support departmental initiatives and take part in enrichment opportunities such as trips, competitions or sustainability projects.
