An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated
Teacher of Geography
to join a dynamic and supportive Humanities department.
The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for candidates who are interested and suitably experienced. The ability to manage the classroom effectively and inspire students is essential.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with a full induction programme and mentoring available for ECTs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 teaching.
Maintain strong classroom management to foster a positive and productive learning environment.
Plan, prepare, and assess learning that meets the needs of all students and supports excellent progress.
Inspire a genuine interest and passion for Geography, helping students to understand the world around them.
Support the wider aims of the Humanities department and contribute to extra-curricular activities where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate Will
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be completing their ECT induction.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a real enthusiasm for Geography.
Exhibit excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Be committed to securing high levels of student achievement.
Be a reflective practitioner with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Show a collaborative spirit and contribute positively to the school community.
