Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Gift Shop Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organised and inviting shop environment. This role requires strong communication skills, a knack for upselling products, and the ability to manage time effectively in a busy retail setting. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting gifts and merchandise. Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored recommendations. Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance the shopping experience. Maintain an organised shop layout, ensuring displays are attractive and well-stocked. Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system while ensuring excellent phone etiquette during customer interactions. Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations within the shop. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational abilities to maintain shop standards and inventory accuracy. Bilingual or multilingual proficiency, particularly in English and Spanish, is advantageous for effective communication with diverse customers. A friendly disposition with a passion for helping others find the perfect gift. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

Pay: 11.44-14.11 per hour
