Thursdays (5:30 - 7:00pm) (Saturdays 9:00 - 12:00pm Fixture Dependent) - 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Description:

The Leeds United Foundation is seeking to appoint a Football Coach to work with the Leeds United Girls Academy U16s who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and dedicated to developing female footballers to their full potential. The suitable candidate will be required to plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality coaching sessions in line with the club's philosophy, ensuring the holistic development of each player. They must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a passion for coaching, and a strong commitment to supporting the growth of the female game. The role also requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work evenings and weekends as part of the coaching schedule.

Main areas of responsibility:



Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of all players within the Girls Academy, adhering to the Foundation's safeguarding policies Deliver high-quality coaching and support to players, in line with the Leeds United Girls Academy playing philosophy. Implement the Academy training and games programme in accordance with Long Term Player Development (LTPD) guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely documentation via the Academy's Google Drive, including training and match day reports. Conduct a minimum of three player reviews per season, supporting each player's development journey. Maintain and update each player's Individual Development Plan. Complete and support all administrative duties, including risk assessments, session registers, health & safety checks, and child protection documentation. Provide verbal and written reports when requested by the Girls Academy Manager Attend meetings with the Centre Manager and Technical Director to ensure alignment with Academy goals. Commit to continuous personal and professional development relevant to the role. Support and promote the vision, mission, and values of Leeds United and the Foundation at all times. Foster strong, professional relationships both internally and externally, representing the Girls Academy in a positive and respectful manner. Maintain confidentiality regarding all information related to the Charity, Club, and its personnel. Be flexible in working hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet programme requirements. Ensure the upkeep and safety of all equipment used in the delivery of sessions and programmes. Carry out any other duties as directed by the Senior Management Team to support the promotion and operation of the Leeds United Girls Academy.

ESSENTIAL



UEFA B Licence FA First Aid Qualification FA Safeguarding Children Certificate Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices Accepted FA Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check Experience in coaching girls' football Understanding of current girls' football structures Knowledge and understanding of child development and sensitivity to children's needs Passion for women and girls' sport and a commitment to supporting its growth Willingness to work weekends and attend training events as required Own transport essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently using your own initiative, and collaboratively as part of a team
