About Role:



We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Glasshouse/Nursery Manager to join our Horticulture team at Askham Bryan College.

Based at our York campus, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our glasshouses and nursery--leading on plant production, care, and stock management. You'll work closely with Curriculum Team Leader and Glasshouse technician to support high-quality delivery across study programmes, adult education, and commercial activity.

What you'll be doing:

Managing plant cultivation and nursery operations Supporting practical teaching and learning across horticulture courses Driving commercial viability and maintaining biosecurity standards Monitoring market trends and seasonal planning
What we're looking for: You'll have a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, excellent knowledge of plant care and stock management, and ideally experience in a commercial horticulture setting. A proactive mindset and passion for the industry are key.

Start Date:

The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).
