Key Responsibilities
Cut, shape, and install glass to precise measurements using manual and power tools.
Glaze timber sashes with accuracy and care, maintaining traditional craftsmanship standards.
Manufacture and assemble double glazing units, ensuring thermal efficiency and airtight seals.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete installations.
Install glass in windows, doors, partitions, and other fixtures.
Handle, transport, and store glass safely in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Carry out repairs and replacements of damaged glass units.
Requirements
Proven experience as a glazier, with specific expertise in:
Glass cutting
Glazing timber sashes
Manufacturing double glazing units
Strong understanding of glazing techniques and materials.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to glass handling.
Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
NVQ Level 2 in Glazing or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential).
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
