As the

Global Engineering Manager

for our Industrial Group, you will lead the strategic and operational direction of engineering and project engineering functions across international locations. Centred in Manchester, UK, this role emphasizes innovation, precision, and excellence in the design and delivery of high-pressure pump systems and gas turndown technologies serving the mining and broader industrial sectors. You will drive multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions on time and within budget, ensuring technical excellence, process adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:




Design & Development Innovation




Lead the design and development of high-performance fluid and gas systems tailored for mining and industrial applications. Oversee and coordinate the Engineering and Project Engineering teams, ensuring timely delivery of R&D, lifecycle development, engineer-to-order, and standardization projects. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to engineer and document solutions using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring adherence to international standards. Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation: BOMs, GAs, P&IDs, O&M manuals, and specs for manufacturing. Launch and manage technical training programs to elevate manufacturing, sales, and service capabilities.



Project Management Excellence




Drive multiple concurrent product development and engineering projects, using advanced project management tools. Create and execute project plans with clear milestones, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder engagement. Champion continuous improvement and change management initiatives across engineering and operational teams.



Product Optimization & Support




Spearhead product standardization and rationalization initiatives to improve reliability and cost efficiency. Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and executing cost-reduction strategies. Facilitate global engineering collaboration by aligning standards, knowledge-sharing, and best practices. Identify upgrade paths for legacy systems, ensuring they benefit from the latest technologies.



What We're Looking For:





To thrive in this role, you should bring:


Degree in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's). Substantial work experience in engineering within mining or heavy industrial sectors. Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary, multi-location engineering teams. Expertise in fluid pumping systems, heat management systems, and their industrial applications. Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SAP/ERP systems, and PLM/PDM tools. Strong command of ISO and international compliance standards. Demonstrated leadership in international, cross-functional environments. Proven track record of managing complex, high-value engineering projects. Strong communication skills - able to translate technical concepts into business impact. Fluent in English; multilingual abilities advantageous. Manchester UK based, with local and international travel required to key engineering and manufacturing hubs.
