is a privately owned and growing global business which owns and operates a fleet of ISO shipping and storage containers, purpose built refrigerated storage containers, accommodation containers and DNV offshore containers for international, but predominantly domestic, rentals for storage applications.
The company currently operates 70 self-storage sites located in 9 countries, with a new site opening approximately every 3 weeks around the globe. In the UK there are currently 24 sites with further growth anticipated.
The Role
As our Global Payroll Coordinator, you'll be an essential part of the HR team, responsible for coordinating and delivering accurate and compliant payroll processing for our employees.
You'll be the go-to person for payroll-related queries and a key contact between our internal teams and external payroll provider(s).
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Coordinating end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including starters, leavers, changes and statutory payments.
Liaising with our external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll data, as well as government authorities.
Reviewing and reconciling payroll reports, ensuring accuracy before final sign-off.
Processing employee benefits and deductions, including pensions and cycle-to-work / EV Cars and other salary sacrifice schemes.
Responding to employee payroll queries with professionalism and confidentiality.
Maintaining accurate payroll records.
Collaborating with Finance on payroll journals, reports and reconciliation activities.
Ensuring compliance with government authorisations and regulations, RTI reporting and pension auto-enrolment obligations in each country.
Assisting with year-end processes with external providers.
Supporting audits and providing necessary documentation when required.
Identifying and suggesting process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
We are currently reviewing our payroll providers and assessing for a new HRIS and Payroll provider and this role would be available to assist implementation.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in a payroll function.
Understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
Experience using a HRIS payroll software (preferred).
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion.
Comfortable working independently and as part of our wider People team.
Experience using Excel.
Experience with benefits administration and reporting (preferred).
