Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Payroll Lead will drive the management of the company\'s payroll affairs globally, covering the UK, APAC, EMEA and North/South America entities. This newly created role will work with finance and non-finance teams with support from external payroll advisors to drive the highest standards of payroll. This role will play an integral part in scaling the payroll processes and procedures of a fast-growing business. DUTIES

  • Lead the global payroll process and controls with support from external payroll providers
  • Lead the timely execution of payroll deliverables, payments and statutory reporting for all entities across the world while ensuring compliance with local payroll legislation in different countries
  • Working with the finance systems team towards higher payroll standards, leading any payroll system implementations in the future and leading any payroll process optimisation as necessary in partnership with HR
  • Work with the FP&A team to provide insights on payroll related spend and prepare the analysis as necessary
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure that payroll related spend is accounted for correctly and timely
  • Support or lead ad hoc projects as the team and business expands internationally
Requirements

Essential
  • Proven experience in multi-country payroll management
  • Qualified payroll professional with a solid understanding of controls and payroll best practices
  • Being driven and with the ability to balance multiple priorities at any time
  • Excellent skills in problem-solving and project management involving key stakeholders and advisors.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate payroll matters to finance and non-finance teams
Desirable
  • Proven experience working within a group environment
  • Industry experience (fast-growing technology company is a plus)
  • Payroll systems implementation is a plus
