Maintenance Operative

Maintenance operative required to join our existing engineering team in commercial / industrial maintenance for multiple clients across the UK predominantly based in the Peterborough, Northamptonshire / Oxfordshire Area.

The role requires travel mainly throughout the South and East regions and occasionally the rest of the UK. You will be involved with general building maintenance duties, routine maintenance, including fault diagnosis and repairs. You will need the ability to follow instructions and an understanding of safe working practices. Whichever area you work in, your duties could include:

Carrying out planned maintenance Weekly fire alarm testing (Training will be given) Weekly water flushing (Training will be given) Weekly tap temperatures Plumbing skills Running quality checks to make sure systems are working properly and safely Diagnosing and fixing faults

Hours:

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. You may also be on a rota for out-of-hours emergency work, which could include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications/Skills

Plumbing Skills

Basic knowledge of electrics preferred but not essential

Previous PPM experience essential and a capability of meeting deadlines.

Multiskilled engineer (Painting, basic joinery, plumbing, HVAC, Electrical experience)

Full driving license is compulsory (Company van provided) Good practical skills A careful and methodical approach to work The ability to make accurate measurements A head for heights and be prepared to work in all sorts of weather A willingness to work in confined spaces A presentable and pleasant manner Good written and verbal communication skills Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own initiative A willingness to adapt to change Good problem-solving skills.
Overtime available

Pay: 28,000.00-35,000.00 per year
