As System Engineer within the System team, you will help to innovate and develop systems, subsystems and features for our Simulation and Navigation Products which are based on leading edge technology. This will drive the next generation of Spirent Communications products in the Positioning Technology Line of Business.

Requirements:
For a member of the system team, working closely with our software development team, we are looking for an individual who can understand and analyse requirements then design and implement the most optimal algorithms and software solutions for the company, contributing to the development of PT products and services.





Required


Degree in appropriate disciplineg.: Mathematics; System Modelling; Physics; Positioning. Problem solving and analytical skills, to develop, analyse, and prototype ideas and concepts for features and elements of new products; mathematical modelling, applied to real-world problem solving. Able to Support analysis through the use and development of software and tools - including use of Python, Matlab, C++; working to Spirent's coding standards and supporting the development cycle. Deliver functional blocks and features for integration into Spirent products; define, implement and execute test plans to verify requirements and assure quality Contribute to the system development lifecycle from its design through to implementation and validation. Team player with highly collaborative and positive attitude, who is eager to learn new technologies, self-motivated, has an energetic approach, good interpersonal communication, and presentation skills for producing clear documentation and status reports on the work accomplished.

Experience with positioning data analysis techniques to determine and improve system performance. RF signal path transmission and modelling. Experience in digital 3D mapping, modelling and development techniques, including use of tools such as Cesium; Blender; QGIS. Candidates with a background in GNSS fused Position Engine development and analysis would be very suited to this role: experience with GNSS, or other radio-based positioning solutions, including software and hardware GNSS, fusion of RTK and inertial data and navigation systems * Position and Measurement Engine design and delivery, covering GPS, Galileo, Beidou, Glonass, QZSS
