This is a booking only event and your visit with us will last approximately 1 hour.

Health & Fitness Centres, chat to staff and take a tour whilst you find about the different hours, training and career development on offer!

Once we receive your completed expression of interest form with your preferred options we will send you invite and booking information.

Leisure Assistants

We have a range of permanent and casual part time vacancies at both Queens Park and Newton-le-Willows.

Interested in a career as a Leisure Assistant but not yet qualified?

Go Active is scheduled to run the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course in July 2025 giving you the opportunity to qualify during your first 12 weeks in the role !

Leisure Apprenticeships

If you prefer to learn by 'doing,' then an Apprenticeship may be the right thing for you. Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to develop experience combining practical on-the-job training whilst obtaining recognised work-related qualifications. The great thing is you can do an apprenticeship at any point in your career getting paid while you complete the qualification! Our Apprentices support key roles including lifeguard, fitness instructor, swimming instructor and sports coach.

We have 2 Apprentice vacancies, one based at Queens Park and one based at Newton-le-Willows.

Swimming Instructors

Our qualified swimming instructors support the local community by delivering swimming lessons and aquatic based activities in our centres. We are always interested to hear from qualified instructors who are interested in either our Swimming Instructor positions or our Dual Swimming Instructor/Leisure assistant posts. We currently have vacancies with hours ranging from 23 hours (Monday/Friday) for Swimming Instructors or 28 hours for Dual Post Swimming Instructors who also cover Leisure Assistants responsibilities on a rotational shift basis.

General Kitchen Assistants at Willowbees Cafe

Willowbees Cafe

is an award winning team based in the adventure play area of our Newton-le-Willows Health & Fitness Centre. With plenty of room for kids to run around and work up an appetite, everyone is guaranteed to enjoy Willowbees! Our Catering Assistants support with the preparation and serving of food whilst keeping service areas clean. We currently have casual positions available for Catering Assistants.
