We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Golf Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support daily operations across the Golf Shop, Driving Range, and Golf Bar, providing excellent service to members and guests while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Golf Shop
Greet members and guests, providing knowledgeable assistance with tee time bookings, retail sales, and general enquiries.
Operate the point-of-sale system for retail transactions and green fee payments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked shop, including visual merchandising and stock rotation.
Driving Range
Ensure the cleanliness and daily operation of the range area.
Dispense range balls, monitor ball levels, and assist with ball collection.
Maintain range equipment and ensure all users adhere to safety rules.
Provide assistance to members and guests with equipment and range usage.
Golf Bar
Serve food and beverages in accordance with licensing and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar, seating areas, and kitchen equipment.
Operate the till, take orders, and handle cash and card transactions.
Monitor stock levels and assist with bar re-stocking as needed.
Hours:
This is a flexible position - we anticipate you working 25 - 30 hours per week during the summer season but less during winter. Evenings and weekends will be required.
Pay:
10 - 12.21 per hour (depending upon age)
Qualifications
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or golf club operations is preferred.
Basic knowledge of golf is a distinct advantage.
Food hygiene and/or bar license certifications are beneficial (training can be provided).
Friendly and approachable with strong customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude toward varied duties.
Strong communication skills.
Punctual, professional, and well-presented.
You must be flexible with working hours to include evenings and weekends
