The Chase Golf & Country Club is a family-owned golf and leisure business, and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Course Manager to lead the maintenance, presentation, and future development of our golf course.
This is an excellent opportunity for a progressive turf professional who values clear leadership, efficient decision-making, and a direct working relationship with senior management.
The Role
As Course Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management and long-term planning of the golf course and associated grounds. The role reports directly to the General Manager, providing a clear line of communication and the ability to make timely, practical decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
Overall management and presentation of the golf course to a consistently high standard
Leading, motivating, and developing the greenkeeping team
Member engagement and communication
Planning and delivering annual maintenance programmes and budgets
Managing machinery, irrigation systems, and agronomy programmes
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Working collaboratively with the General Manager and Head Professional to support business and customer objectives
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience as a Course Manager, Head Greenkeeper, or Senior Greenkeeper
Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; HND/HNC desirable)
PA1, PA2, PA6 (or equivalent spraying certificates)
Strong leadership and organisational skills
A professional, proactive approach with pride in course standards
Comfortable working within a commercial, customer-focused environment
