The Golf Operations Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the golf business. This includes supervising the golf operations team, managing the day-to-day golf shop retail operation and driving range, collecting green fees and managing club competitions.





The Golf Operations Supervisor will supervise the golfing experience, ensuring the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction - playing a key role in maintaining the Resort's reputation for excellence and enhancing the overall experience for our members, guests and visitors.





Key Responsibilities





Collection of payments from golf-related activities such as green fees, driving range, buggies/trolleys and the supervision of the pro shop retail operation.




Operations



To assist the Director of Golf in creating and implementing operational plans for the golf operations department. To continuously monitor and evaluate operations, suggesting and implementing changes to operational plans as needed to ensure overall success for golf operations. To continuously review standard operating procedures to ensure maximum customer satisfaction whilst maximising revenue and profitability. Assist and develop staff to enhance guest service standards. Managing the stock and ensuring the profitability of the pro shop retail operation.




People



To communicate regularly and effectively with other individuals and teams within the organisation and act as a role model of professionalism. Give direction to colleagues and support them to achieve individual and team objectives. Supervising the team of PGA professionals to provide high-quality golf coaching for our members, guests and visitors. Members' Clubs - liaise with Club Officers to ensure the efficient and effective management of Members' Clubs' business, competitions etc.

Financial



To ensure standard operating procedures are carried out for accurate stock control and monitored to ensure all staff adhere to these procedures. Help drive revenue for each aspect of golf operations. Supervise compliance with all purchasing policies and procedures.

Marketing and customer service



Make suggestions on golf business decisions by staying on top of golf industry trends. Make suggestions on promotions and activities to stimulate revenue across the golf business. Identify and develop value added products and services to enhance the customer experience. Supervise the team in delivering excellent customer service. To communicate effectively with external organisations, individuals and agencies.

Essential Criteria





PGA Professional with a strong passion for all aspects of the game of golf. Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced golf operations setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with members, guests and visiting golfers. A proactive attitude and strong desire to supervise a successful golf operations department. A team player who thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment. A good sales and customer service background with the ability to demonstrate skills in both. The desire to deliver outstanding customer service. A warm, friendly, and energetic approach with pride in overall appearance. A flexible work approach. Understand the requirement for working early morning, evening and weekend hours.




Desirable Criteria





Sound knowledge of BRS Golf software Sound knowledge of ClubV1 software Competent IT skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of services and equipment relating to golf facilities. Experience in providing excellent customer service to international visitors - primarily from North America.
