In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, checking in golfers, assisting with member queries, handling shop sales, and ensuring smooth communication with relevant staff members. Additionally, you will manage phone calls, take golf bookings over the phone, and support customers with shop purchases. You will contribute to maintaining a welcoming, clean, and organised environment for all patrons.
Duties
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
Check in golfers for tee times, confirm bookings, and handle any related queries or payments.
Accept phone calls and take golf bookings over the phone in a polite and efficient manner.
Liaise with members and visitors, addressing their questions and concerns, and pass relevant information to the appropriate departments or staff.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and offering recommendations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop, bar, and reception areas, including restocking supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
Collaborate with kitchen and other staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
Previous experience in bartending, hospitality and customer service is required.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
Knowledge of golf equipment and shop sales practices is advantageous.
A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, members, and team members.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the golf club's operations.
Valid driving license
