Job Summary

Local Kitchen Manufacturer looking for goods in operative. This person will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position involves the handling, storage, and distribution of Kitchen Doors, and other items needed in regards to our Kitchen unit manufacuture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse operations and demonstrate practical knowledge to assist with various tasks. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm. Overtime is not required for this position.

Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage. Checking kitchen doors and panels, for accuracy and defects. Manage inventory to ensure all items received and checked in a timely manner. Warehouse Management System to track stock levels and locations. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Perform materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting as required. Operate forklifts safely to transport goods within the warehouse. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and assist with loading the vans/lorry. Completion of fittings boxes to ensure our customers have everything they need to complete their kitchen installation.

Skills

Proven experience in a warehouse setting is essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience in construction or similar fields is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
